School for TEXTILE

A genious project has been created by a Maltese person, Sr. Sandra Cassar from Zejtun, Malta. She has emigrated to live the religious and missionary life in the slums area of Ruiru, Kenya. Amoung the poverty and the unemployed people in the streets helpless she came up with the idea to create a self-suffient project to keep it running and sustain also the poverty of the people on the quaters.

Sr. Sandra gathered jobless poor people from the streets of Ruiru, Kenya and she started to teach them textiles by using machines and making / producing very good quality cloths and uniforms.

The product is sold on the market, goverment and private student schools.

This prestigous project nowadays benifit the community of Ruiru, the congregation and the of the individuals and their families.

NEW PROJECT for 2025

A new project for is projected to for 2025 to build a new premises for the textile school and factory.                                                                                                               The current premises became very small to handle the load situation and competion in the area and therefore this project                    became essential. The project is going to be located in the same orphanage, convent & school compound.
