Mombasa, Kenya

Mombasa is a coastal city in southeastern Kenya along the Indian Ocean. It was the first capital of British East Africa, before Nairobi was elevated to capital city status in 1907. It now serves as the capital of Mombasa County. The town is known as “the white and blue city” in Kenya. 

The Congregation of the Daughters of the Secret Hearth moved in this teretory were the population is 90 per cent Muslim. However, the community of Mombasa live in harmony together despite their differences in cultures and mentality. 

The Congregation host a small community were they provide service amoung the poorest of the community of the village and within the parish church. 

The sisters also host pilgrims who like to spend some leisure time in Mombasa relaxing beside the beach.
